Discovering the Villas of the ancient Stabiae

The ancient Stabiae, corresponding to the current Castellammare di Stabia, was destroyed together with Pompeii and Herculaneum during the eruption of 79 DC.

In this area there were numerous villas with a panoramic view, designed for residential purposes.

At moment can be visited 2 villas: Villa San Marco is one of the largest Roman villas used as a residence, covering ad area of 11000 sqm and Villa Arianna covers about 2500 sqm.

We will visit both villas, to discover the majestic decorations made by the ancient artisans
